The history is that in 2001 a veteran tradesman, Gary, was carrying his fair share of aches and pains from his ‘hands-on’ work plus managing five-panel beating (body) shops.
Although Gary constantly heard a lot about workplace safety issues and health ramifications, he saw nothing which came close to developing a safe culture. This compelled him to do something, so in 2002 with nothing more than a bold idea and $200 in his pocket, Gary set out to make a real difference and he invented and patented a unique service for small businesses.
However, no sooner had the venture started when the first of many obstacles were encountered; the technology needed to complete the software wasn’t available and wouldn’t be for another 3 years!
By 2006 Gary had identified two things, do it yourself Safety & Health systems don’t work and personal contact with customers was imperative. The methodology was changed to include Support Representatives and SafetyEvidence went from a software company to a monitoring company.
In 2009 SafetyEvidence realized with its growth potential and core value of systemizing everything, that it was a perfect combination for global expansion. Initial forays into New Zealand were undertaken and not long after received a $15,000 grant from the NZ Department of Commerce to help promote the SafetyEvidence system amongst the business sector. SafetyEvidence is now an international business responsible for 1000’s of workers’ safety & health.
SafetyEvidence has also become a preferred supplier for many Organizations and Associations who see us as a good fit for their members.
More recently, SafetyEvidence has been engaged by Corporates which have a territorial, state, national or global footprint to assist with their Corporate Brand Protection. As a 3rd party monitoring company, SafetyEvidence seamlessly helps to create, gather, store and produce all types of evidence (not just safety & health evidence) for Corporate H.O.’s.
SafetyEvidence continues to challenge the belief that Safety & Health burdens a business’s resources and continues to challenge current paradigms regarding the successful running of a Safety & Health system and is the only company to be granted an Australian Innovation Patent for its methodology.
